Milwaukee's New Series of Sanders and Grinders Combine Ergonomic Comfort with Powerful Performance
Brookfield, WI - Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation introduces a series of large Sanders and Grinders with a powerful 4.0 HP (Maximum) motor for metal fabricators, welders, steel erectors, pipeliners and masonry contractors. They are lightweight with a strong emphasis on ergonomics, durability and serviceability.
The tools are one of the lightest in their class and have an angled rear handle and side handle for increased user-comfort. A two-finger trigger switch, three-position side handle and conveniently located spindle lock also contribute to the models' comfort. Select models offer a 9-position rotating rear handle to accommodate all angles while maintaining a comfortable grip. The Grinders also feature a 5-position tool-less guard.
The 7- and 9-inch Sanders (models 6080-20 and 6081-20) feature a single speed, 6000 RPM, powerful 15 Amp AC/DC Milwaukee motor. Model 6082-20 offers the same features, as well as a nine-position Roto-Lok rotating rear handle. Model number 6081-20 is grounded.
The 7-inch Grinder (model 6088-20) features a single speed, 6000 RPM, powerful 15 Amp AC/DC Milwaukee Motor, and an adjustable guard. The 9-inch Grinders (models 6086-20 and 6089-20) offer the same features in addition to a 10-foot two-wire Quik-Lok(R) rubber cord. Model 6089-20 offers a nine-position Roto-Lok rotating rear handle.
The Grinders' lightweight and compact construction includes a convenient spindle lock for easy wheel change, directed exhaust air to keep the gear case running cool, and a five-position tool-less guard for quick and easy adjustments to guard position. Standard features also include epoxy-coated motor windings for extended durability and external brush covers. A complete line of accessories is also offered, including Type 27, Type 28, Type 11 and Type 1 guards.
