Picosecond Pulse Labs Demonstrates Breakthrough Down Conversion Sampling Technology

Crystal City, Virginia -- Picosecond Pulse Labs (PSPL) demonstrates its new 2Gs/s Sampling Down Converter at the 2005 IEEE International Radar Conference. PSPL will be releasing the 7600 series of Down Conversion Sampling Modules at the upcoming MTT-S 2005 International Microwave Symposium, June 14 - 16, in Long Beach, California. Products to be released include down conversion modules and 1, 2, and 4 channel boards.

PSPL down converter products are intended for use in high-end digital radar receivers. Replacing traditional mixers with the PSPL down conversion solution greatly reduces the complexity of current broadband radar system architectures. These new down converter modules have high dynamic range, wide bandwidth, and large LO tuning range.

PSPL's patented Non-Linear Transmission Line (NLTL) technologies and proprietary terahertz diode construction techniques enable consistent linearity performance over 25 GHz of RF bandwidth at sampling rates to 2GHz.

Key performance parameters include:

o RF Bandwidth: 25 GHz minimum

o Sample Rate: 10 Msps to 2 Gsps

o SFDR: -50 dBc maximum

o Power Dissipation: 5 Watts maximum

o Intended Environment: MIL-STD Airborne and Naval Requirements
