Getting out Faster - The New Escape Release for the Safety System ESL
Euchner is expanding its safety system ESL with an escape release for quick and straightforward unlocking from the inside.
The ESL is a compact door handle for protecting and monitoring safety guards such as doors and flaps on machines and installations. It consists of a handle and an interlocking module and is equipped with the proven transponder-coded safety technology CES. The use of transponder technology ensures maximum safety according to EN ISO 13849-1 (Cat. 4 / PL e) and provides the best possible protection against tampering.
The new escape release permits quick and straightforward unlocking of the safety guard from the inside, even if the handle is locked. The escape release engages when it is actuated and therefore prevents renewed closing of the safety door. The safety door can only be closed and the safety outputs switched on again after actuating the detent knob. In this way unintentional starting of the machine or installation is effectively prevented. Thanks to the well thought out design, the escape release can be attached to all common profile sizes. No mechanical modifications are needed for mounting. It can be fixed very conveniently using 2 screws.
The escape release can be retrofitted at any time and in this way provides the user with the necessary flexibility on protecting safety doors.
