Serena Business Mashups Now Available on Demand from Serena Software
SaaS-based Mashups blending consumer widgets with enterprise data and business processes are delivered on demand with a single click
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Sept. 10 / / - Today at its TAG conference, Serena Software, the Enterprise ALM leader known for Serena Business Mashups and Facebook Fridays, has delivered another solution via Software as a Service (SaaS). Now Serena Business Mashups are available on demand. With no software to install or infrastructure to manage, workers can build and deploy Mashups faster than ever before. This will spur even wider adoption of Mashups throughout the enterprise, which Forrester claims will be a $700 million market by 2013 in a May 2008 report called "The Mashup Opportunity."
Serena Mashups On Demand offers new features to create more consumer- looking Mashups, which will encourage more end users to embrace Mashups as a way to solve simple business problems and be more productive. As part of this on demand release, Serena has integrated Rich Interface Mashups(TM) (RIMs) into the solution, allowing users to simply drag and drop widgets, RSS feeds, Flash components and other types of consumer data into their workplace Mashups.

Mashups On Demand is one of three solutions Serena will provide this year via SaaS. Serena will be the first major application development tools vendor to deliver a pure Agile toolset that allows IT departments and ISVs to manage Agile projects over the Web.

Serena's new subscription pricing structure for Mashups On Demand is designed to help organizations and the knowledge workers within them get started for as little as $15 per user per month. That price includes:

- Serena Mashup Composer(TM), a point-and-click visual design tool for
creating Mashups
- Access to free pre-built Business Mashups, which can be deployed
immediately to automate some of the most simple yet time-consuming
processes in business today
