SMT & Thru Hole Receptacles Suit Most Electronic Applications
HARRISBURG, Pa. - March 31, 2006 - Tyco Electronics has introduced a new line of AMPMODU horizontal and vertical receptacles. The 0.100-centerline product mates with unshrouded and breakaway style headers and are available in several varieties. The line includes single and double row arrangements to meet most motherboard / daughterboard applications. AMPMODU receptacles are suitable for many board-to-board applications in industrial and commercial electronics, aerospace, computers, communications and other electronic devices.
The horizontal versions include a Mod II, thru-hole product with closed entry housings and an SMT product also with closed entry housings. With the vertically configured product, Mod II, thru-hole product with top-entry is available in addition to Mod IV thru-hole product with dual entry (top & bottom) and Mod IV surface mount receptacles; also with the dual entry feature.
Employing a dual-cantilever beam contact design, the single-contact current rating is up to 3.0A. Fully energized connectors are capable of carrying up to 2A. Mating cycle life for the product is rated at up to 200 cycles. Housings are molded from high temperature 94-V-0 thermoplastic and the contacts are phosphor bronze. This product is recognized by UL and certified by CSA.
AMPMODU horizontal and vertical receptacles are RoHS compliant.
