Richardson RFPD Introduces New 300 W Bi Directional Coupler with Surface-Mount Technology from Innovative Power Products
Unique 300 W surface-mount dual directional coupler measures 1.5” x 1.0”
Geneva, Ill.: Richardson RFPD, Inc. announced today the availability and full design support capabilities for a new bi-directional surface-mount coupler from Innovative Power Products, Inc.
The IPP-8036 is one of the featured surface-mount products from IPP’s full line of dual directional couplers. It is a 300 Watt, 50 dB dual directional coupler that operates from 20 MHz to 1000 MHz.
IPP has leveraged softboard laminate technology and embedded internal terminations in order to offer the IPP-8036 in a surface mount package, instead of aluminum housing with connectors, which saves system size and cost by bringing the coupler inside the power amplifier. The device also features an innovative broadband design that provides separate coupled ports for both forward and reflected signals.
According to Innovative Power Products, additional key features of the IPP-8036 include:
• Insertion loss: < 0.29 dB
• Main line VSWR: < 1.25:1
• Coupling: 50 dB
• Coupled flatness: +/- 0.6 dB
• Directivity: > 20 dB
