Encapsulated with thermally conductive potting compound in non-conductive plastic case designed to withstand most solder/wash processes, SMW Series occupies 1.31 x 1.01 x .40 in. board space and offers 5 W of fully regulated output power. Isolated product has 4:1 input range with 24 and 48 Vdc nominal input voltages, and single outputs offered are 3.3, 5, 12, and 15 Vdc. Dual outputs are ±5, ±12, and ±15 Vdc, and operating ambient temperature range is -40 to +71°C.

5-Watt Surface Mount DC/DC Converter with a 4:1 Input and Remote On/Off
ConTech, a Division of Calex, announces the "SMW" Series of DC/DC converters. The SMW Series offers 5 Watts of fully regulated output power with an industry standard SMT footprint. Total board space required for this package is 1.31 x 1.01 x .40". The series offers a 4:1 input range with nominal input voltages of 24VDC and 48VDC. Single outputs offered are 3.3, 5, 12, and 15VDC. Dual outputs are +/-5, +/-12, and +/-15VDC.
The operating ambient temperature range of the SMW is -40 to 71°C. The units are encapsulated with a thermally conductive potting compound in a non-conductive plastic case. The series is isolated input to output with an isolation voltage rating of 1500VDC. The case is designed to withstand most solder/wash processes. The SMW Series has a Remote On/Off feature which when used has a standby current of 10ma. The SMW series is CSA 60950 approved and RoHS compliant.
