AXIOMTEK's SHB101 is a mainstream platform and uses the Intel® Q35 Express chipset that delivers excellent computing performance at remarkably low power consumption.
Taipei, Taiwan, September 19, 2008 - AXIOMTEK, an Associate Member of the Intel® Communications Alliance (ICA), today introduces its first quad-core PICMG 1.3 full-size CPU card, the SHB101. Power by the latest Intel® Core(TM)2 Quad processor in LGA775 package with a 800/1066/1333 MHz FSB, the SHB101 offers great performance, high density, and good power efficiency, making it an ideal solution for telecom, visual inspection, digital surveillance system, and ATM systems. The SHB101 with Intel® Q35 Express chipset can support up to 8 GB of DDR2 DIMM memory. The integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3100 provides enhanced graphics and 3D performance with a maximum dedicated frame buffer video memory of up to 256MB by sharing the system memory. The SHB101 also comes with Intel® Core(TM)2 Duo and Celeron® CPU, offering customers an alternative choice.
This high performance yet low power slot CPU card offers four PCI, four PCIe x1 or one PCIe x4, and one PCIe x16 routed to the backplane. To meet a wide range of application needs, the SHB101 supports six Serial ATA high-speed data transferring at up to 3GB/s for abundant data storage and ten USB 2.0 ports for system integration. Networking is provided by two Intel® 82573L Gigabit LAN interfaces. Other I/O features include two COM ports (1 x RS-232 & 1 x RS-232/422/485), two 5-pin wafer connectors for PS/2 mouse and keyboard, one VGA port, and one parallel port. The built-in watchdog timer keeps system running smoothly.
