Rail lengths are available up to 4,000 mm in single section. Seal protects ball bearings within guide block; lubrication can be provided through grease fitting. Compact Profile Rail System Carries Heavier Loads, Operates at Higher Speeds for Increased Productivity In Linear Motion Applications
Piscataway, NJ - LEE Controls' SBC Profile Rail System delivers high precision and superior performance in a compact size for automated production lines, CNC machines, power transmission, and other linear motion applications. The company claims greater load carrying capacities and higher speed operation that enhances machine efficiency, increases productivity and lowers costs.
Incorporating linear guide rails and blocks, the SBC Profile Rail System is available in two ranges for high load capacity and two ranges for ultra high load applications. Rail lengths are available up to 4000mm in a single section. According to the company, longer runs can easily be obtained by connecting matched sections.
"A LEE Controls SBC system replacing a typical 6 ft long supported 1" diameter shaft with linear ball bearings will carry heavier loads with much longer life," says Jim Ashworth, the Company's Vice President. Ashworth notes the SBC system installs easily, provides a 50% reduction in total height, four ball circuits, and the unique two-point ball contact design of the block and rail assures smooth movement.
A seal protects the ball bearings within the guide block; lubrication can be provided through a grease fitting. Available accessories: side grease fitting for obstructed applications; bellows to prevent dust and debris from impairing travel; scrapers to remove contaminants from high-temperature machining operations.
New 'Low Noise' Spacer Series SPG/SPS Linear Guide Blocks feature engineered plastic spacers and built-in oversized grease carrying capability to reduce ball friction for smoother, quieter operation.
