GammaTech Unveils Tough DURABOOK D14RM with Intel® Montevina Platform
Durable Notebook with Cutting-Edge Processing Technology for Mobile Professionals
FREMONT, Calif., July 8 -- GammaTech Computer Corporation, a worldwide leading manufacturer of notebook computers, today debuted the new stylishly rugged, slim and lightweight DURABOOK D14RM with Intel(R) Montevina platform. The DURABOOK D14RM is designed for mobile professionals and is built with rugged features to protect the system from accidents that can damage sensitive interior notebook components.
The DURABOOK D14RM is tested using Military 810 F Standard guidelines to insure protection against drop, shock, spill and dust and is protected by a magnesium alloy case that is 20 times stronger than ABS plastic. The D14RM has withstood as many as 26 drops on concrete from a height of 76 cm. Anti-shock mounting design protects the device's LCD and hard disk drive from damage and data loss that would usually occur with sudden shock or drop.
In addition to a spill-resistant keyboard, touchpad and switches, the DURABOOK D14RM notebook's spill-resistant design stops spills from leaking into sensitive interior components. The unit also includes input/output port rubber caps to provide for dust resistance.
The notebook comes standard with a 14.1" WXGA display (1280x800 resolution) and LED lighted keyboard. A Smart card reader, fingerprint scanner and TPM 1.2 technology help keep important data secure for DURABOOK D14RM customers. The notebook includes 4 USB ports and a HDMI port for enhanced connectivity.
Optional features such as resistive-type touch screen, built-in webcam and GPS allow mobile professionals to customize their computing experience.
The DURABOOK D14RM notebook measures 352mm (W) X 256mm (D) X 37-41mm (H) and weighs only 5.5 lbs (2.5 kg).
