BlueTree Introduces New GPRS EDGE Modem Series New 6400 Series Targets Fixed Data Machine to Machine Applications
Las Vegas, NV - CTIA WIRELESS, April 1st, 2009 - BlueTree Wireless Data Inc. a division of SIXNET, LLC, leading developer and manufacturer of rugged wireless modems, today announced its 6400 Series lineup of rugged cellular modems based on the 2G EDGE wireless technology, at the CTIA show being held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Alongside its full range of 3G rugged modems, including GSM HSPA and CDMA Rev A cellular modems, BlueTree is introducing three new GPRS EDGE modems for fixed M2M applications like Telemetry and SCADA:
BT - 6401 Industrial Modem for telemetry / SCADA applications including solutions for the oil / gas, electric utilities, and waste / water management industries.
BT - 6401EB Industrial Modem for Telemetry/SCADA applications requiring integrated Power over Ethernet (PoE). The integrated Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability enables easy installation where power outlets are impractical or not readily available.
BT - 6421 Industrial Switch features an integrated 5 Ethernet port layout and is designed specifically for applications requiring multiple Ethernet port connectivity.

The 6400 series modems will support the EDGE protocol with automatic fallback to GPRS, and standard features include metal enclosures, Class 1 Division 2 certification, USB, Serial and Ethernet Ports, multiple mounting options including DIN Rail, IPSec VPN, built-in routing functionality and IP Pass-Thru.
