April 30, 2004 - Precision micron orifices, available in sizes 7.5 microns and up, are true, wire lapped, sharp edged orifices with uniform Cd values. Products yield accurate, repeatable flow, and orifice sizes can be laser etched. Ruby is chemically inert and wear-resistant. Orifice sizes yield flows from less than .5 ccm dry air and handle gas and liquid applications. Other uses include semiconductor, biochem, and laboratory applications.

Pictured are new ruby orifice glands for face seal applications. Bird Precision supplies precision micron orifices in sizes 7.5 microns (.0003”) and up. These face seal glands are finding use in various vacuums, ultraclean, semicon, biochem, laboratory instrumentation and analytical applications. Orifice sizes can be laser etched.
