Thermoplastic Rubber Hose 50% Lighter Than Standard Versions

A new, economical and highly flexible wire-reinforced thermoplastic rubber hose that is 50% lighter than standard versions for light-duty, low-pressure applications is being introduced by Flexaust of Warsaw, Indiana.

Flexadux® TR-Series Thermoplastic Rubber Hose is designed for light-duty ventilation and fume or dust removal applications where a heavier, standard hose would be excessive. Weighing 50% less than a typical standard hose, this lightweight, economical hose is highly flexible and compressible and provides strong moisture, chemical and UV resistance, claims the firm.

Offering two lightweight thermoplastic rubber hose versions, Flexadux® TR-LT (1-1/2" to 16" I.D. sizes) features a 0.020" wall and a 4" I.D. hose weighs 0.31 lbs./ft. and the Flexadux® TR-XLT (2" to 6" I.D.) has a 0.012" wall and a 4" I.D. hose weighs only 0.28 lbs./ft. Both can be supplied with 2" soft cuffs and connect using standard clamps and accessories.
