July 31, 2002 - Wood-Chukâ„¢ high frequency routing spindle has heavy duty seals that protect bearings from dusty environments. Air cooling system requires no external lubrication or cooling devices. Spindle is capable of power levels up to 15 kW and includes automatic tool change capability. It is available for retrofit and as standard equipment on some OEM CNC routers.

Russell T. Gilman, Inc., an SKF Company, will introduce the American-made Wood-Chuk high-frequency routing spindle at the 2002 IWF show. The Wood-Chuk spindle is designed to be a high-performance spindle with the lowest maintenance possible. Its heavy duty seals protect the bearings from dusty environments and its air cooling system requires no external lubrication or cooling devices. The Wood-Chuk spindle is capable of speeds up to 24,000 rpm and power levels up to 15kW. The spindle also has automatic tool change capability.
