Multi-Tech's MultiModemŽ rCell Intelligent Wireless Router Instantly Enables Data-Intensive M2M Communication in Real-Time
Ideal for 24/7 Video Surveillance and Other Mission-Critical Applications
MINNEAPOLIS, July 8 -- Multi-Tech Systems' new 3G intelligent wireless router instantly makes existing or next generation devices communication-ready. The MultiModem(R) rCell intelligent wireless router with HSDPA support is ideal for highly data intensive, mission-critical applications such as real-time remote video surveillance, downloading large files or shared Internet access over a high-speed wireless connection.
The ready-to-deploy, stand alone MultiModem(R) rCell intelligent cellular router includes an easy to use Web interface for local and remote configuration and management. It is also pre-certified by the PTCRB and AT&T, eliminating the additional time and expense for obtaining individual RF approvals for each application.
"The MultiModem rCell easily integrates with virtually any application," said Bill Chesney, Multi-Tech Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "It's perfect for instantaneous 24/7 video surveillance or shared Internet access at a construction site."
The MultiModem rCell offers 3G standards-based tri-band HSDPA performance via the integrated cellular modem with Ethernet or RS-232 connectivity. The wireless router's intelligent embedded operating system allows for automatic and persistent connectivity and enhanced M2M (machine-to-machine) functionality, and can be configured for one of three connectivity modes: always-on, wake-up on ring, or dial-on demand. Additional features include a Stateful Packet Inspection firewall with packet filter rules, built-in dynamic DNS client, SMA antenna connector and SIM socket, and can be desktop or panel mounted.

data intensive M2M communication
I need to know its current and potential capabilities and applications. Please send me the technical specifications. Does the keyword "mission-critical applications" include being able to control/manage a machine/device/other sensors through the web a browser?
