Longer Lengths and Patented Splicing Drive New NSW Can Cable Package
[Roanoke, VA] October 17, 2002 - NSW, LLC has combined extended roll lengths for its plastic round belts, with versatile reinforcement options and a patented on-site splicing method, to create a can cable package with big benefits for the industry.
NSW now offers its round belts in coil lengths up to 3,280 feet (1,000 meters), in all reinforcement options. These roll lengths allow runs of over six-tenths of a mile, without splicing. The NSW round profile belts are available with Kevlar(R), steel, or polyester reinforcement. The NSW belts with Kevlar reinforcement provide a high strength can cable with increased flexibility. This is particularly valuable in curved configurations.
NSW's patented splicing method and proprietary tools enable faster, stronger, more reliable splicing, with high strength "knot" splicing on all reinforcement options. With faster, more reliable splicing, conveying systems can be brought on line sooner and stay on line longer. With longer roll lengths, runs are completed with fewer splices. These features combine to greatly reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
