Offered in 8–14 in. sizes with CFR ranges from .17–2.31 (assuming 100% pocket fill), cleanable round airlock (CRA) serves food, pet food, and chemical industry applications where equipment must meet sanitary requirements. Design facilitates cleaning and inspection while increasing throughput with accelerated change-overs, and linear rail system reduces de-mounting and re-engaging rotor to few steps. All lubrication in product zones are NSF H1 and H2 rated.

CRA Quick Clean Airlock for Sanitary Processes
The Mac Process cleanable round airlock (CRA) was designed specifically for food, pet food and chemical industry applications, where equipment must meet challenging sanitary requirements. CRA allows easy cleaning and inspection, increases throughput with faster change-overs, and delivers value-conscious clean design. Just a few steps are involved in both de-mounting and re-engaging the rotor using a specially designed linear rail system.
Offering the largest cubic feet per revolution capacity on the market, the CRA can handle extremely high process rates, making the cleanable technology system ideal for applications with high product volume. The oversized rotor shaft creates a naturally radiused rotor pocket for more complete product release.
CRA components used in product contact areas, including the seals, are constructed of FDA approved materials and all lubrication in product zones are NSF H1 and H2 rated. Designs are also available for NFPA 69 isolation valve requirements. The CRA airlock is now offered in 8” - 14” sizes with CFR ranges from .17 to 2.31, assuming 100% pocket fill.
