December 12, 2002 - Model SR 300 processes materials with feed sizes up to 15 mm to fineness below 80 micron. Batch output is up to 30 L or 360 kg/hr in continuous mode. Mill achieves circumferential speed of 18,000 rpm. Circular screens, with hole diameters from 0.08–10 mm, determine final fineness of sample. Metal conidur filter provides for convenient handling. All parts in contact with sample are made of stainless steel. Applications include chemical, agricultural, pharmaceutical, and mineral.

Retsch's New Motor Beater Mill SR 300 Produces Powders in Large Quantity
Retsch's newest Rotor Beater Mill, the SR 300, is the ideal grinder to process chemical and biological samples such as salts, fertilizers, resins, food and feeds. It also handles dry organic plant material like, sugar beets, tobacco, leaves, and reduces them to fine powders. Another area of application is the minerals and the pharmaceutical products. Materials with feed sizes of up to 15 mm are processed to a fineness below 80 microns. Batchwise, the output can be up to 30 liters, or up to 360 kgs/h in continuous mode. With its powerful, robust 2.2 kW motor and the large-dimensioned rotor, a circumferential speed of approx. 18,000 rpm is achieved which renders the Rotor Beater Mill the semi-industrial version of the proven Ultra Centrifugal Mill ZM 100.
The final fineness of the sample is defined by the holes' diameters of the circular screens 0.08 mm to 10 mm. The use of a Vibratory Feeder DR 100/75 increases the homogeneity of the products and reduces the temperature. The metal conidur filter provides for convenient handling. Further features of the SR 300 include a quick-release door and full safety, such as a brake motor and overload switch, as stipulated by the strict CE guidelines. All parts in contact with the sample are made of stainless steel.
