Highest Pressure Rated Rotary Union

Charlotte, NC - That's right!!! The Duff-Norton 1900 Series Rotary Union comes with the highest PSI ratings of any Rotary Union. Rotary Unions or rotating joints are designed to provide a rotating seal between fluids and a revolving roll or drum. Commonly conducted media are water, hot oils, chemicals, hydraulics, and air.

The 1900 Series was developed for very high pressure applications up to 10,150 psi (700 bar) and with maximum temperature ratings up to 248°F (120°C).

Standard models feature nickel treated carbon steel construction, but are also available in stainless steel. The 1900 Series is equipped with a double acting thrust bearing and bronze bushing. The bearing permits higher pressures, while the bushing increases the guide of the shafts to allow faster than conventional rotating speeds obtained from most high pressure models. Sizes range from ¼" to 3".

Years of service in tough field applications prove our Rotary Unions reduce production down times and require less maintenance than other types of sealing mechanisms.

Our products are widely used throughout many process and related industries such as oil & gas extraction and refining, chemical, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, water and waste water, pulp and paper, primary metals, rubber and plastics, and fiber and textiles. Common applications are dryer drums, extruders, laminators, press rolls, embossers, indexing tables, filtration systems, and cooling and heating rolls.
