March 22, 2005 - Custom rotary union/electrical slip ring assembly carries Class 1, group C explosion-proof certification for hazardous locations. Rated to 1,000 psi, rotary union features all-stainless steel construction for use in washdown environment. It incorporates DynaSeal Teflon® seals; three ¾ in. NPT flow passages that feed into common passage in housing; and 16, ¼ in. NPT connections to feed individual stations on equipment.

Custom Rotary Union With Explosion-Proof Electrical Slip Ring


MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - January 24, 2005 - Dynamic Sealing Technologies recently provided a custom rotary union - electrical slip ring assembly that required the slip ring to carry Class 1, Group C explosion-proof certification for use in a hazardous location.

The assembly was used to supply air and electrical to a custom aerosol can filling machine. The rotary union was designed with all stainless steel construction for use in a washdown environment. DSTI provides custom rotary union assemblies to several OEM's for use on their filling and packaging equipment.

Product Features: (3) 3/4" NPT flow passages feed into a common passage in the housing, (16) 1/4" NPT connections to feed individual stations on the equipment, stainless steel construction, DynaSeal Teflon seals, suitable for pressure or vacuum applications, 1000 psi pressure rating, explosion-proof electrical slip ring option.
