Carbide worm system incorporates V-grade form of carbide worm screw and worm wheel, which is ion-nitrided to depth of 0.1 mm with external surface hardness of 68 Rc. Table is suited for indexing and lead cutting/rotational milling of small workpieces.

Lyndex-Nikken Introduces Compact CNC105 Rotary Table With Advanced Braking System
Mundelein, IL - (August 31, 2004) Lyndex-Nikken's new CNC105 Rotary Table features an enhanced braking system. This compact system provides 50% more clamping torque than comparably sized compact rotary tables. Nikken's CNC105 offers exceptionally strong clamping torque of 205 N - m and robust improvements to maximum workload, thrust and work inertia.
The Nikken CNC105 is designed to expand on the capability of equipment, from small 30 taper high-speed drill and tap machines to larger machining centers. The CNC105 is ideal for a wide variety of applications including indexing, lead cutting/rotational milling of small size workpieces and also supporting fixtures for multiple workpiece high production applications.
Supplied by Lyndex-Nikken, Nikken rotary tables are designed with a unique and patented carbide worm system. The carbide worm system incorporates a carbide worm screw and an ion nitrided worm wheel, rather than a conventional bronze or bronze alloy actuation mechanism. The result is a reduction in friction and wear by up to eight times. The worm screw consists of a less brittle V-grade form of carbide, while the worm gear is ion nitrided to a depth of 0.1 mm and an external surface hardness of 68 Rc. These properties, as well as a steel way hardened to 58-60 Rc, all work to enhance system rigidity and longevity, and make Lyndex-Nikken rotary tables ideal for high-speed, high-accuracy rotation.
Lyndex-Nikken offers a range of workholding attachments for its rotary tables, including 5C collet fixtures and air/hydraulic chucks.
