RING SLIDE(TM) Precision Rotary Systems

PM - Bearings announces the introduction of a new kind of rotary bearing system. RING SLIDE(TM) is a revolutionary new concept in rotary motion based on the PM - Bearing linear motion technology. This new rotary system provides the highest radial and axial run-out in a unique mounting arrangement which virtually eliminates the need for any precision machining.

The RING SLIDE concept utilizes a curved, double sided crossed roller rail as the base of the rotary system. This rail provides the accuracy of the system, eliminating the need for any precision machined bores. The only requirement is for a flat surface, which can be easily obtained. Specially machined recirculators are mounted on the rail and support the load in rotary motion. The bearing recirculators support load equally from all directions. Multiple recirculators can be added to increase load capacity.

Because the recirculators move independently from one another, they can be driven separately to provide multiple axes of motion on the same radius.

An additional benefit of this system is that the base rail can be provided as a segment of a circle to create an arc or rocking motion, or to allow access through the side of the bearing arrangement for various application requirements.

ID sizes from 100mm to 420mm are currently available. Special sizes and materials are available on request.
