Rotary Arc Element Segments Feature Various Linear and Non-Linear Tapers, Taps and Electrical Angles

Grass Valley, CA - December 9, 2008 - Spectrum Sensors and Controls announces their expanded line of rotary arc element segments that are now available with several different linear and non-linear tapers, taps and electrical angles of 340° and 350°. These potentiometer element segments are smaller in size and deliver high reliability, long life and excellent output smoothness. The rotary arc element segments are ideal for military/aerospace and industrial valve applications.

Spectrum's rotary arc element segments have a resistance range of 1KW ~ 20KW ± 10%, essentially infinite resolution and an outside diameter range of 0.702" to 1.805". This potentiometer has excellent output smoothness at 0.1% max, a co-molded conductive plastic element, a thermo plastic insulator and a rotational life of 50 million cycles minimum. Options include arc element segments with and without terminals, enclosed with wiper assemblies or with 30 AWG Teflon lead wires at least 6" in length.

Spectrum utilizes a co-molded conductive plastic element for a hard smooth surface and greater long-term reliability compared to raised circuit element potentiometers. In Spectrum's process the termination and resistance materials are simultaneously molded with the base substrate.

Spectrum Sensors & Controls rotary arc element segments are priced at $29.95 and up depending on quantities and configurations.
