Bil-Guard-Ready Roof Hatches are equipped with pre-punched capflashing to facilitate installation of Bil-Guard(TM) Hatch Rail System, which provides permanent means of fall protection. System meets and exceeds OSHA standard CFR 1910.23 fall protection regulations, which require exposed sides of roof openings to have some form of guardrail protection. Constructed of fiber-reinforced polymer material, Bil-Guard uses corrosion-resistant hardware and includes self-closing gate.

New Feature Helps Simplify Fall Protection Compliance
WEST HAVEN, CT/February 14, 2006 - The Bilco Company, manufacturer of specialty access products for the residential and commercial building markets, is introducing a new feature for the company's line of roof hatches. All Bilco roof hatches are now Bil-Guard-Ready, equipped with pre-punched capflashing to facilitate quick and easy installation of the Bil-Guard(TM) Hatch Rail System.
Bil-Guard is a fixed rail system that provides a permanent means of fall protection for roof hatch openings. The system is tested and proven to meet and exceed OSHA standard CFR 1910.23 fall protection regulations, which require the exposed sides of roof openings to have some form of guardrail protection.
The Bil-Guard is constructed of a durable, fiber-reinforced polymer material and utilizes corrosion-resistant hardware. The railing comes in a high-visibility yellow color for added safety. Additional features include: a self-closing gate to ensure fall protection; a quick-mount bracket for fast, secure, non-penetrating attachment; a pivoting sleeve for installation flexibility; and a standard 25-year warranty.
