New Moen Roman Tub Faucet Valve Offers Easy Installation
Only Manufacturer to Offer a PEX Connection for a Roman Tub Faucet in the U.S.
NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio, April 28 /-- Meeting plumber demands for installation flexibility and connectivity, Moen Incorporated has updated the design of its Roman tub faucet valves. The new design addresses all plumbing systems to significantly reduce installation time and alleviate the many frustrations previously associated with Roman tub faucet installations.
The new Roman tub faucet valve design addresses connectivity concerns, adapting to both PEX connections and copper-to-copper connections. Both valves are designed to work in varied substrates and can accommodate a deck thickness of up to four-and-one-quarter-inches. The unique adjustable shank requires no cutting and is virtually error-proof.
"During product testing, the new valve design was well received with plumbers," said Jerry Capasso, Moen's wholesale bath product manager. "The no-cut, adjustable shank was embraced as 'easy, innovative and intuitive.' Plus, the testing proved a significant decrease in installation time."
The new Roman tub faucet valves are available on all of Moen's three- and four-hole Roman tub faucet applications and feature Moen's M-PACT(R) common valve architecture, allowing homeowners to easily upgrade their faucet trim in just minutes: simply unscrew the handles and spout, lift them out and replace them.
In addition, the new Roman tub faucet valves feature Moen's quick-connect installation system, which snaps hoses together with a telltale "click" so the installer can be assured the connection is secure. A unique test plug is also available for peace of mind to ensure there are no water leaks.
"At Moen, we are constantly looking for ways to improve the design of our product -- not only from the outside, but from the inside as well," said Capasso. "These new Roman tub faucet valve enhancements position Moen as the only manufacturer offering a PEX connection in the U.S. -- which represents approximately 50 percent of new residential construction and growing."
