Beefed Up Features Add to Wind Resistant Door
(Pewaukee, WI) In its mission to provide the fast entry of a roll-up door that can withstand high wind loads at an affordable price, Goff's Enterprises introduces their new DRAWTITE(TM) II roll-up door.
Now more doorways can have the access and protection thanks to the new DRAWTITE II
powered roll-up door.
This door has a unique tensioning system, which enables the door to maintain a seal under gusts up to 70 mph on a 10' x 12' door and prevents the door from blowing out of its guides. The door is also suitable for areas within the facility that have high positive/negative pressures.
Standard on the door is a ½ hp external motor than can take the door speed up to
36"/sec. While more costly doors can go faster, for a standard 8' x 10' doorway the
difference in room exposure time is less than a second.
The door is responsive as it is fast. The motor operator on the door includes optimized
shaft speed, ball bearing construction and simplified jack-shaft reduction for longer life; customized braking and soft start acceleration to provide smooth door operation.
A progressive tensioning device ensures smooth operation on the door's up and down
stroke while offering enhanced security.
Though the DRAWTITE II enables rapid traffic access within facilities the door is also
built to withstand the rigors of the outdoors. Enhanced door mechanics resists
contamination, ice build up, and harsh environment factors, which can hamper operation
of traditional doors.
The door also has an active edge that senses objects in the path of the lowering door
and causes the door to reverse direction upon contact.
The motor operator enables the DRAWTITE II to have a responsive safety edge, to work
with a variety of actuation devices and to operate in conjunction with the master control boxes found on many docks that coordinate dock equipment activity. A weather tight enclosure can protect the external motor operator when mounted outside the building.

o Fiberglass pultrusion tubes (horizontal stiffeners) bend if loaded - won't break or kink.

With the combination of the track and the stiffeners and the unique tensioning device the wind cannot blow the door out of the door frame just like ultra-expensive roll-up doors.
o The 18-oz. vinyl door is rot, tear and mildew resistant, standing up to the
harshest weather.
o All seams are double-locked stitched for extra strength.
o Double baffle under the valence prevents pests from entering.
