Tensioning system enables door to maintain seal under wind gusts up to 70 mph on 10 x 12 ft door and prevents curtain from blowing out of guides. Doors may also be supplied without tensioning system for interior room separation. To facilitate exit/entry, motor enables door speeds up to 50 ips, and active edge reverses closing door if object is detected in its path.

HarshGuard Roll-Up Door Combats Caustic and Corrosive Environments - and Wins!

This door has a unique tensioning system, which enables the door to maintain a seal under gusts up to 70 mph on a 10' x 12' door and prevents the curtain from blowing outof its guides. The door is also suitable for areas within the facility that have high positive/negative pressures. The HarshGuard can also be supplied without the wind-load tensioning system for interior room separation.
Standard on the door is a totally enclosed motor than can take the door speed up to 50"/sec. for fast entry and exit. While more costly doors can go faster, for a standard 8' x 10' doorway the difference in room exposure time is less than a second.
The door is responsive as it is fast. A progressive tensioning device ensures smooth operation on the door's up and down stroke while offering enhanced security.
Though the HarshGuard enables rapid traffic access within facilities the door is also built to withstand the rigors of the outdoors. Enhanced door mechanics resists contamination, ice build up, and harsh environment factors, which can hamper operation of traditional doors. Non-corrosive materials and fasteners are used in order to withstand caustic and corrosive solutions used in food processing, wash downs and industrial applications.
The door also has an active edge that senses objects in the path of the lowering door and causes the door to reverse direction upon contact.
The motor and control enables the HarshGuard to have a responsive safety edge, to work with a variety of actuation devices and to operate in conjunction with the master control boxes, hands free operation, photo cells and other control devices.
