Sherex Fastening Solutions, LLC Launches New RIV-FLOATŪ-SHORT Rivet Nuts
Ensure easy, accurate, and fast attachment of components in off center applications with the new, innovative, addition to the RIV-FLOATŪ family; RIV-FLOATŪ-SHORT. These rivet nuts were developed for use in replacing riveted nut plates and cage nuts in applications that have alignment issues.
The RIV-FLOATŪ-SHORT was developed for applications requiring backside clearance similar to cage nuts & riveted nut plates. The new RIV-FLOATŪ-SHORT has all the features & benefits of the original RIV-FLOATŪ including knurls which increase spin out resistance in soft materials.
RIV-FLOATŪ-SHORT was developed to allow manufacturers the benefit of accounting for tolerance stack up, and resolve alignment issues during product assembly. This saves costly rework of components and the expensive downtime associated with stripped or cross threaded fasteners. RIV-FLOATŪ-SHORT also allows installation from the front side of the work piece which improves assembly time by allowing the fasteners to be installed post paint, powder coat or other surface treatment.
RIV-FLOATŪ-SHORT can be used in aircraft interiors to attach the structures of the galley, overhead bins, armrests and the lavatory.
