Suited for all types of power inverter applications, Powerex 6th Generation NX-S Series is optimized for high current density and wide RBSOA (Reverse Biased Safe Operating Area). Aluminum Nitride ceramic substrate, with optimal coefficient of thermal expansion, reduces thermal stress and promotes reliability as well as module life. Along with more than 10 µsec short circuit capability, 1,200 V parts feature paralleling characteristics and reduced EMI.

Advantages of the Powerex 6th Generation NX-S Series IGBT
Ultra-low-loss performance (20% lower than the 5th Generation IGBTs).
Backwards-compatible packaging with the 5th Generation NX Series (no re-design needed).
Lower junction temperatures can lead to reduced space, weight and cost for the thermal management sub-system required for a given inverter.
Aluminum Nitride (AlN) ceramic substrate (preferred coefficient of thermal expansion when compared to alumina substrate) reduces thermal stress and increases reliability and module life.
