Rigid Couplings For Large In-Line Shafts
A line of rigid clamp-type couplings that are now offered with bore sizes up to 6" I.D. for heavy-duty applications on large in-line shafts is available from Stafford Manufacturing Corp. of Wilmington, Massachusetts.
Stafford Large Rigid Couplings feature two-piece steel construction, with a black oxide finish, and are offered with or without a keyway. Designed for use on large in-line shafts from 2" to 6" dia., the size and quantity of alloy clamp screws for these couplings depends upon the shaft diameter.
Capable of mating different sizes shafts, Stafford Large Rigid Couplings can be supplied in both straight-through and stepped versions. Applications include large in-line shafts found in steel rolling mills, and pulp and paper mixing-, power transmission-, and heavy construction equipment.
