New, Small Size RTK Color Bar Label Available

The smallest RTK label, that can be printed using database software, is now available for the DuraLabel 4TTP labeling machine.

Small RTK labels are need in many facilities for labeling small containers. The new 1.4375 inch x 3 inch RTK color bar label for the DuraLabel 4TTP printer meets many of these labeling requirements and allows for automated tracking of RTK labels using database software.

Until now small RTK labels had to be hand printed. This left open the possibility of error and labels that were not fully legible. With the DuraLabel 4TTP's high resolution 300dpi printing, small labels can be printed and remain clear and easy to read. Since they are printed using specialized database software, the information is accurately repeatable. Large numbers of labels can be printed without error.

The new labels feature a highly visible color bar area that clearly identifies the level of health, flammability and reactivity hazard. The chemical name and CAS number are printed at the top of the label, with the signal word and specific hazard identified directly below the color bar section. The information on the lower portion of the label is user selectable to show either pictograms identifying PPE, or text describing the health and organ hazards.

The 1.4375 x 3 RTK label is a die-cut label printed in color on industrial grade vinyl. The resulting label is resistant to water, scratching, sunlight (UV) and most harsh environments. The tough industrial grade adhesive means these labels stay stuck once they have been applied.

Steve Hudgik, Internet Marketing Manager for the DuraLabel, said: "The DuraLabel RTK labeling software provides a single database from which a variety of sizes and types of RTK labels can be printed. Once information for a chemical has been entered in the database labels ranging from this new 1.4375 x 3 inch size, up through the 4"x 6" NFPA Diamond label can be printed from the same database. This makes it easy and convenient for our customers to make whatever size RTK labels they need."
