Right Angle Servo Mount Improvements

January 24, 2008

Cone Drive introduces new mounting features for both the Series W and Model RG right angle worm servo gearheads. New to the Series W is the Direct Mount, a series of tapped holes on the end of the hollow shaft. This feature provides a low cost alternative to a zero backlash connection yet allowing for a hollow output. The Direct Mount makes mounting components such as timing belt pulleys, tables, pinion gears or end effectors directly to a hollow output without the concern for keyed connection.

The Model RG is now availble with a base mount output flange simplifying shaft mounting. Both the Model RG and Series W have Cone Drive double enveloping worm gearing, offering the highest available output torque, stiffness and precision. Sizes range from 1.500 inch to 3.500 inch centers with backlash as low as true zero.
