Accordent Launches Accordent Media Management System Version 3

Industry's Premier Management Solution for Enterprise Online Communications Unveiled at InfoComm 2009

ORLANDO, Fla., June 17 /-- INFOCOMM -- Accordent Technologies today announced commercial availability of the third generation of its award-winning rich media communications management system, the Accordent Media Management System (AMMS), with a completely redesigned architecture and a host of management, tracking and reporting features designed for performance-based, online communications.

AMMS v3 enables organizations to transform their video programs into highly interactive, precisely measured online communications that can be leveraged to improve the performance of personnel, the effectiveness of content, and the quality of the end-user viewing experience. Key AMMS v3 highlights include:

-- 100% Re-Architecture and Re-Design -- AMMS v3 leverages the Microsoft .NET Framework for superior scalability, performance, reliability and extensibility. The system's complete functional re-organization provides substantially expanded capabilities with improved streamlined, intuitive workflow;

-- Performance-Based Reporting and Management -- AMMS v3 includes more than 50 new content, audience, and network reporting features, including proprietary player-side reporting for tracking real-time quality of service and viewer activity. Business managers can run automated, multi-format reports from anywhere in the system for rapid analysis, action and decision-making;

-- Multiple Tenant/ Sub-Portals per System -- Organizations can use a single AMMS installation to support multiple departments, schools or business units each with their own system administrators, branding, content, functionality, business rules and reporting;

-- Network Control via New Distribution Profiles -- Profiles enable administrators to manage and schedule the creation and modification of live/video-on-demand (VOD) streams and web content with Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), Windows Media Services, Real Server and Flash servers. New APIs enable true content distribution with content delivery networks (including Cisco ACNS, Riverbed, Blue Coat and more) to provide end-to-end management over rich media streams via a single console.

"The .NET Framework and Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) were designed to enable developers and businesses to create efficient, flexible and extensible applications that allow customers to leverage processing power more effectively," said Brad Becker, director of rich client platforms and tools at Microsoft Corp. "Microsoft is pleased to work with Accordent as they have leveraged the power of both the .NET Framework and WPF in AMMS v3 to create a significant enterprise deployment of WPF, providing exceptional benefits to their customers."

"As opposed to being simply a video management tool, AMMS v3 is a true enterprise communications solution that was designed, from the ground up, to meet the requirements of productivity-driven organizations," said Mike Newman, Accordent CEO. "As such, we've made an enormous investment in ensuring that not only can content be easily secured, managed, and found, but also, that organizations are able to collect the business intelligence - including content, audience, and infrastructure performance - that is critical for making informed decisions and substantiating success."

The Accordent Rich Media Communications Suite is the only automated, end-to-end infrastructure for creating, distributing, managing and measuring the effectiveness of multimedia presentation assets. The company's rich media creation products include its flagship Accordent PresenterPRO(TM), a live and on-demand webcasting solution with interactive features, such as polling, surveys and moderated Q&A; the Accordent Capture Station(TM), an easy-to-use, room-based appliance that enables anyone to webcast and record high-value presentations that take place every day in the world's meeting rooms, classrooms and boardrooms; and Accordent Engage(TM), a behind-the-firewall, enhanced audio webcasting system that enables multimedia webcasting from the desktop. The company's media management platform is the Accordent Media Management System, the first centralized online communications management infrastructure for ingesting, organizing, searching, publishing and securing multi-level access to Accordent presentations and other multimedia communications - including archived web- and video-conferences.
