Intelligent Security Systems' All-in-One SecurOS Gives Retailers a New Edge Over Fraud and Theft

Built in Business Intelligence Means Suspects Can Be Tracked from Store to Store

WOODBRIDGE, N.J. -- Intelligent Security Systems (ISS), a leader in video management and analytic software, announced at ISC West today that it has developed a new all in one modular architecture that encompasses all aspects of safety, such as store and warehouse surveillance, Point of Sale (POS) monitoring, customized POS fraud detection, credit card transaction surveillance, ATM surveillance and gas station surveillance. With SecurOS, built in Business Intelligence allows several additional functions like people counting, facial recognition, license plate recognition and many more.

Retailers with multiple outlets can create central databases, and share information about customers who have had a negative history with the store, whether for reasons of fraud, theft, loitering, etc. Alerts can be triggered by facial recognition when such an undesirable customer enters the store.

POS fraud detection can help to find "sweet hearting" by analyzing scanned products versus moved products on the checkout. POS-inspector specifically synchronizes transaction data and video to integrate a complete unified retail security and surveillance framework.

"In these challenging economic times, retailers are faced with an increase in fraud and theft," said Wolfgang Ritter, Director of Sales and Marketing for ISS. "With SecurOS, retailers can turn the tables on criminals with a comprehensive, easy to use security system that offers a new level of intelligence in video monitoring and analytics that was previously only available for government and military applications."

SecurOS works with almost all existing IP cameras, and practically all analog camera systems as well. Its advanced search and reporting features allow for archive searching with virtually unlimited criteria.

SecurOS can also be used for cash transaction surveillance, analytics by stock-keeping unit (SKU), cashier, store, etc, and to monitor embezzlements and financial machinations of store personnel as well as store openings and closings. It is also ideal for monitoring overall safety both inside and outside the store, and allows for remote control of video cameras so that image range can be adjusted as necessary.

At ISC West in Las Vegas (at booth number 18077) from March 24th to March 26th, ISS will be showing live demos of SecurOS, demonstrating its many features and key advantages over competitors' similar solutions.
