PeakFit® N95 Respirator Offers Comfortable, Customizable Fit for Improved Compliance
The OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard, which requires employers to provide respirators to their employees when applicable, is meant to prevent hundreds of deaths and thousands of illnesses annually. Yet common employee complaints about respirators, including discomfort, poor fit, and difficulty breathing, can make worker compliance hard to enforce. The revolutionary PeakFit® respirator from Gateway Safety was developed with these complaints in mind--improving on the design and fit of traditional-style respirators to help encourage all-day wear.
Specifically engineered to dramatically increase comfort without compromising safety, PeakFit's superior design includes a large, contoured shape with ample coverage area to help ease breathing and reduce fatigue. Dual adjustable cloth head straps help wearers customize the fit to their facial profiles to keep the mask securely in place--without the use of metal staples, which can often cause scratching. The molded, cushioned nose bridge fits most faces without needing an uncomfortable metal bridge piece.
PeakFit is a NIOSH-approved N95 air-purifying respirator. Three versions are available: original PeakFit (filtration against aerosols free of oils below PEL*); PeakFit OV (additional filtration against aerosols free of organic vapors below PEL*); and PeakFit AG (additional filtration against aerosols free of organic vapors and acid gases below PEL*).
*PEL = Permissible Exposure Limit.
