Dubuque, Iowa-DuctSox®, Dubuque, Iowa, a leading manufacturer of fabric duct systems, has introduced the Final Filter, the HVAC industry's first replaceable in-duct air filter for fabric duct that increases IAQ and energy savings while reducing outdoor air requirements and building maintenance.

Designed for supplementing primary filter systems in new or retrofit buildings with DuctSox air dispersion, the Final Filter is cone-shaped and easily zippered within minutes into a fabric duct system at the inlet. Depending on application, an annual replacement schedule is expected for typical occupied buildings.

The Final Filter is available in National Air Filtration Association (NAFA) rated MERV-8 or MERV-12 non-woven 3M filter media with 50% and 90% efficiencies, respectively. The multi-layer custom filter media was developed specifically to withstand pressure loading while allowing depth loading. Depending on inlet velocity, media and sizing, the filter will generate 0.24 - 1.98" w.g. resistance to airflow.

Designed for all round DuctSox models ranging from 12 to 72-inch-diameters, the Final Filter comes in three lengths (a factor of 4, 6.5, or 9 multiplied by the diameter) and carries a list price from $35 to $800, dependent on size.
