MagSnips Offset Replaceable Blade Snips Introduced

Sturgis, Michigan, March 28, 2007 -- Midwest Tool And Cutlery Company has expanded its Midwest SnipsŪ offering of replaceable blade snips to include new patent pending offset design models, creating the MagSnips(TM) family of replaceable blade snip products. The patent pending offset design includes left and straight cut model M2210 that is best used in the right hand and right and straight cut model M2110 that is best used in the left hand. The patent pending offset design flows material away from the blades allowing the snip to be easily advanced without interference from the material being cut and making it easier to cut long materials. The offset design also keeps the users hand safely above the material being cut. The new offset models feature a large capacity blade opening for cutting a wide range of materials and a full 2-3/4 inch length of cut. The M1200 model MagSnipsŪ cuts straight and wide curves to the left or right and can be used in either hand.

The new MagSnipsŪ models feature easily replaceable blades and a light-in-weight cast magnesium frame weighing just 14.4-oz. MagSnipsŪ weigh only half as much as traditional forged steel tin snips making them much easier to handle on the jobsite and less fatiguing to use.

MagSnipsŪ cut a variety of materials including vinyl and aluminum siding, metal roofing materials, shingles, metal flashing, vinyl flooring and screening. MagSnipsŪ excel at cutting materials containing abrasives that dull blades quickly due to the replaceable blade feature. The versatility, ease of use, safety features and economical, easily replaceable blade feature of the new offset model MagSnipsŪ will appeal to both tradesmen and do-it-yourselfers.
