August 24, 2009 - Requiring input voltage of 11-30 Vdc for operation, RD-8X read-only remote display unit polls and displays real-time status of up to 32 channels on backlit LCD. Display can be programmed for auto sequencing or manual display of each group of 8 inputs. Product is available in 2 different packaging options: RD-8X-N7 housed in NEMA 7 watertight, explosion-proof enclosure for hazardous locations, and RD-8X-N4X housed in NEMA 4X watertight enclosure for non-hazardous areas.

RD-8X Displays Real-Time Status of up to 32 Channels


THE WOODLANDS, TX - Detcon's Model RD-8X is a read-only remote display unit designed to operate as a Modbus(TM) Master with a wide range of addressable control systems. The unit polls and displays the real-time status of up to 32 channels on a backlit LCD. Up to 8 channels are displayed on the screen reflecting real time data of the corresponding field devices. The display can be programmed for auto sequencing or manual display of each group of 8 inputs. Display information includes channel number, gas type, unit of measure, and gas concentration. The unit also displays the current Alarm/Fault status via front panel LED indicators.

The RD-8X requires an input voltage of 11-30 VDC. One option utilizes a built-in line power supply: 115/230VAC 50/60Hz. The user friendly, field programmable unit is available in two different packaging options: the RD-8X-N7 housed in a NEMA 7 watertight, explosion-proof enclosure for hazardous locations, and the RD-8X-N4X housed in a NEMA 4X watertight enclosure for non-hazardous areas.
