With MobileStar(TM), any computer with Internet connection can access any machine equipped with compatible Mobile Star(TM) control system. System can monitor location, engine information, hydraulic pressures, operating temperatures, switch status, maintenance, and security. GEO Fencing capability determines if machine is operating at specific location or job site. If not, technician can immobilize machine completely for theft protection or disable machine's operations.

MobileStar(TM) is a remote diagnostics solution, or an equipment monitoring system allowing any computer with an internet connection the ability to access any machine equipped with a compatible MobileStar(TM) control system.
Dakota Fluid Power, OEM/Electrical Division of Sioux Falls, SD is introducing a Remote
Diagnostics and machine information system. The MobileStar system has complete two way
communication. This allows anyone with an interest in the machine, to be in direct communication with the operator, at all times anywhere in the world. The MobileStar(TM) system monitors:
Location
Operating temperatures
Engine information
Hydraulic pressures
Switch status
GPS position
Maintenance
Troubleshooting
Security
The GEO Fencing capability of the MobileStar TM will determine if the machine is operating at a specific location or job site. If not, the technician can immobilize the machine completely for theft protection or disable the machine's operations: such as an agronomists' machine operator preparing to spray the incorrect field; spraying functions are disabled.
The computer interface is simple, straightforward and easy to use. A technician unfamiliar with the system can quickly and easily become proficient.
Markets involved: Fleet (auto and truck), agriculture, heavy and light equipment, contracting, off and on highway construction, utility, municipal; any entity holding multiple assets with operators in the field.
Dakota Fluid Power's customer base is large. Within the base, a particular customer asked for a system to monitor all their machines from one location. This decreased the manpower needed for their inventory and increased the ROI.
