March 3, 2011 - Suited for use in municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment, S600 Series has flat surface measuring glass design. Submersible Electrode S651CD integrates pH glass protection and acrylamide reference gel. Featuring standard HT gels and reduced breakage potential, S656CD Insertion Mounted Electrode allows pH measurements in pressurized tanks and main lines without shutting down system for electrode maintenance. Measurement range for both is 0-14 pH at ±2,000 mV for ORP.

Next-Generation S600 Series pH/ORP Sensors Now Combine Accuracy with Low Maintenance and Longer Life

Garden Grove, CA-Process engineers in search of a rugged, reliable pH/ORP measurement solution will want to learn more about the latest design improvements to the next-generation of the popular Sensorex S600 Series: The new S651CD Submersible Electrode and S656CD Insertion Electrode now combine superior performance with lower maintenance requirements and longer life.

The S600 Series flat surface pH electrodes changed the way the process world approached pH measurement. The flat surface measuring glass design of the latest S600 Series electrodes reduces coating and build-up in turbulent flows. S600 electrodes are ideal for use in a wide of dirty applications for municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment. The result is superior accuracy, lower maintenance, longer life and a lower operating cost.

S651CD Submersible Electrode
The new S651CD submersible sensor is an upgrade to the original S650CD electrode and can be used in place of the S650CD and S650CDHT. The new pH glass protection feature and added performance of acrylamide reference gel add even more value to these already economical, rugged and easy to install submersible flat-surface, self-cleaning pH/ORP electrodes.

The S651CD submersion pH/ORP electrode is designed for measurements in tanks, flumes and sewer lines, in addition to other applications with high suspended solids, where flocculation operations require low velocities and in tanks with high agitation. It features a quick disconnect design for lower operating costs, a flat surface to resist coating and the option to be mounted at a 45 degree angle facing into the flow to further increase scrubbing action across the measured surface. The S651CD Sensor is available in CPVC and with or without ATC Elements.

The S651CD features a measurement range of 0-14 pH (0-12 pH without Na+error) at ±2000 mV for ORP measurement. The electrode operates at a minimum temperature of 50ºF (10ºC) for fast response timing up to 185ºF (85ºC) depending on the maximum pressure desired, which can be up to 80 psig.

S656CD Insertion Mounted Electrode
The new S656CD insertion sensor is an upgrade to the S656CD electrode and can be used in place of the S655CD, S655CDHT and 970283 models. Like the S651CD, the new S656CD features standard HT gels and reduced breakage potential.

The S656CD features an insertion assembly, allowing pH measurements to be made in pressurized tanks and main lines without shutting down the system for electrode maintenance. It further reduces maintenance and cost-of-ownership with a quick disconnect design and the ability to be installed in seconds with no tools. The S656CD electrode features an adjustable insertion depth that allows it to be placed in a turbulent flow region to operate in self-cleaning mode. It is available in CPVC construction and with or without ATC Elements.

The S656CD features a measurement range of 0-14 pH (0-12 pH without Na+ error) at ±2000 mV for ORP. The electrode operates a minimum temperature of 50ºF (10ºC) and up to 185ºF (85ºC) depending on the maximum pressure desired, which can be up to 80 psig.
