SYWARE Launches DroidDB(TM) Relational Database & Custom Forms Builder for Android Smartphones and Tablets
Android smartphones and tablets can now be more useful than ever, thanks to DroidDB(TM), a new software toolset for creating custom mobile applications to collect, organize, synchronize, and share information.
DroidDB does not require programming skills of any kind to create forms and relational databases for mobile data applications, including sales, field surveys, inventory management, or medical record keeping. It comes from SYWARE, Inc, a longtime leader in the development of database and forms development tools such as Visual CE® for Windows Mobile devices.

Unique Capabilities
Unlike other mobile database software tools, DroidDB provides direct control over form design and allows creation of an unlimited number of mobile forms for each device. Using simple drag and drop controls as building blocks, applications are created on a PC desktop and downloaded to the Android devices.
The control building blocks include labels, text, notes, check boxes, radio buttons, and drop down lists. Grid choices include sizable columns, column headers, and sorting criteria. Other options include font selection, timestamps, calculations, and searches.
Supported data types include text, notes, data/time, numeric, and money. The software also contains an array of commands and calculations for collecting and analyzing data, and pre-built interfaces for numeric and date/time facilitate data entry.
Database Synchronization
DroidDB apps can be synchronized with any ODBC-enabled database, including Microsoft Access or SQL Server. Different tables can even be synchronized to different databases.
Available In Two Editions
DroidDB is available in two configurations: a $29 Standard Edition for building apps to run on Android 2.1 and higher handsets and tablets, and a $125 Business Edition, for building the apps and synchronizing the mobile data with desktop or server databases such as Microsoft Access or SQL server.
