Nonin Medical Announces Launch of World's First and Only OEM Solution for Regional Oximetry at Medica Congress

MINNEAPOLIS--Nonin Medical, Inc., the inventor of finger pulse oximetry and a 25-year leader in noninvasive physiological monitoring, announced the launch of the world's first Regional Oximetry OEM Solution, the EQUANOX(TM) Model 7610. The Model 7610 is designed for medical monitoring manufacturers who desire a low-power, integration-ready solution for integrating cerebral and tissue oximetry technology into their patient monitoring systems. Regional oximetry noninvasively measures oxygen saturation, which allows clinicians to improve outcomes by peri-operative monitoring on targeted tissue beds such as the brain. Nonin made the announcement at the Medica Congress in Dusseldorf, Germany.

"Nonin's newest OEM solution delivers highly accurate rSO2 monitoring technology in an easy-to-integrate, easy-to-use solution that, like all Nonin products, allows business partners and clinicians to spend more time on their core mission," said Chris Holland, Vice President-Regional Oximetry, Nonin Medical. "Our commitment to developing technology that saves time and reduces cost while improving the accessibility and affordability of healthcare solutions is why Nonin continues to be the partner of choice for OEM partners and clinicians worldwide."

To accommodate different clinical requirements, the EQUANOX Regional Oximetry OEM Solution, Model 7610, provides the following advantages:

-- Two-channel and four-channel configurations

-- Type-A USB connector with accompanying data output specifications

-- Compatibility with all Nonin regional oximetry sensors, including EQUANOX Advance(TM) adult and neonatal/pediatric sensors -- the only absolute sensors on the market that provide inherent accuracy, without the need for complex and time-consuming patient-specific setup

-- An OEM Evaluation Kit with guide and Microsoft® Windows® demonstration software that allows customers to drive multiple rSO2 channels using a standard USB port

Nonin Medical will be displaying the EQUANOX Regional Oximetry OEM Solution Model 7610 at the Medica Congress in Dusseldorf, Germany, at Hall 11, Stand D.42, from 17-19 November.
