High-efficiency Dryers Reduce Energy Consumption

40% Less Energy Consumption at Full Load
Kaeser's new TF-series energy saving refrigeration dryers ensure a cost-effective supply of quality, dry compressed air. Furthermore, the range has been extended with the addition of a 25 m³/min capacity unit, the TF 251, and now offers even greater energy efficiency.
As with Kaeser's smaller TF-series refrigeration dryer models, the largest model, the TF 251, operates with an exceptionally low pressure differential of less than 0.19 bar. Consequently, this enables the maximum working pressure of the connected compressor to be reduced accordingly. Lower working pressure means less energy demand and therefore reduced costs: For example, a pressure reduction of only 0.5 bar lowers energy consumption for compressor drive power by approximately 3 percent. However, these are only some of the advantages that Kaeser's high-energy efficiency dryers have to offer. Some models, for example, use up to 40% less energy than previous TF-series units.
Kaeser's integrated "Secotec" cycling control also provides further significant energy savings: The heart of the system comprises a highly effective thermal mass that allows the dryer's refrigerant compressor to operate at partial load. This means that it is activated only when the heat capacity limit of the thermal mass is reached, enabling savings of up to 90 percent compared with conventional cycle control dryers. The consequent reduction in energy costs per dryer can amount to several thousand Euros per year. Two operating hours counters, which can be viewed through a window in the enclosure, enable the user to directly track these savings at any time.
High performance condensate separation systems further ensure that the required compressed air quality is maintained at all times, even under high ambient operating temperatures. The enhanced monitoring function of the temperature sensor provides added reliability.
Other important features such as compact design and user-friendliness add to the many advantages that these versatile TF series dryers have to offer. Both air- and water-cooled models are available.
