JOFRAŽ RTC-700 Reference Temperature Calibrator Offers Wide Temperature Range and High Performance Features

LARGO, FLORIDA - AMETEK Calibration Instruments-undisputed leader in temperature calibration-has added the JOFRAŽ RTC-700, to its RTC series of advanced dry-block reference temperature calibrators.
The JOFRA RTC-700 offers unique temperature performance as well as the full range of performance features available on other JOFRA RTC calibrators. The RTC-700 has a temperature range of +33o to +700oC (91o to 1292oF) and provides precise temperature calibration of sensors, regardless of type and format, through an innovative triple-zone heating technology.
Each of the RTC-700's heating zones is independently controlled for precise temperature calibration. The homogeneity of the lower zone is close to that of a laboratory liquid bath. The lower and middle zones ensure optimum heat dissipation throughout the entire calibration zone. The upper zone compensates for heat loss from the sensor- under- test as well as from the open top. This eliminates the need for extra insulation of sensors-under-test and makes it possible to calibrate liquid-filled and other sensors.
The RTC-700 offers a further improvement on this technology with its new patent-pending Dynamic Load Compensation (DLC) sensor, which measures the temperature in the calibrator's insert and provides feedback to the active triple-zone system to compensate for the temperature differences resulting from testing various sensors. This allows the RTC-700 to perform highly accurate temperature calibrations without being affected by the size and number of sensors under test.
Among the other innovative features of the RTC-700 are unique intelligent sensors for plug 'n' play connectivity, an easy-to-read full-color VGA display, and a USB connection for improved communications and software downloads.
Three models are available: RTC-700A reference temperature calibrator, RTC-700B reference temperature calibrator with input for reference sensor, DLC sensor and sensors-under-test, and RTC-700C reference temperature calibrator with input for reference sensor and DLC sensor. AMETEK JOFRACAL proprietary software package comes standard on all models.
Along with the new DLC sensor, the RTC-700 includes a newly designed STS-200 (Superior Temperature Standard) reference sensor. Both the STS-200 and DLC sensors have been angled 90 o and customized so the top of the sensor is only slightly higher than the top of the calibrator. This unique design makes it possible for the RTC-700 to calibrate threaded sensors and sensors with connection heads.
The RTC-700 Series' rugged, lightweight design features two special multi-hole insert kits that cover most commonly known sensor sizes and a highly functional carrying case for improved portability and convenience. The specially designed carrying case makes it possible to store and protect DLC and reference sensors, inserts, support rods, wires, manuals, plugs and insert tools.
