New Mercury Oxide Reference Electrode
Quality Instruments Since 1966
Koslow Scientific has introduced its NEW Mercury Oxide Reference Electrode - the ideal choice for measurements involving Alkaline and Fluoride Solutions.
Applications for this NEW electrode include Alkaline Battery Research and Process Monitoring in strong alkaline or chloride-free solutions. These electrodes find wide applications in electrochemical research in universities and industry.
The Mercury Oxide Electrode is constructed of rugged plastic and holds a Teflon junction making it ideal for use in corrosive media.
The filling solution is Potassium Hydroxide (20%) and the standard potential half-cell is +0.098mV vs. the normal hydrogen electrode (NHE) in basic solution. NaOH Electrolyte is available as well as other custom concentrations.
The electrode is supplied with a 16" cable and a banana plug. The electrode is 4 1/2" long with a 5/8" OD.
