Durable, New Container Lid Secures Sensitive Documents Inside Recycling Truck

Savvy Plastics Engineers Convert Lid From ABS To Polyethylene

New, Hinged Lid Aids Compliance With HIPAA, FACTA

Ashtabula, OH: The Poly-TruxR 50P-16R recycling cart from material handling product manufacturer Meese Orbitron Dunne Co., Ashtabula, Ohio (www.meeseinc.com), features a new, plastic lid that slides and locks onto the truck for added security in paper recycling, shredding and other collection and transfer applications. Designed to help recycling, document destruction, insurance, healthcare and other companies comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA, Title II) and the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003 (FACTA), which govern the proper handling and disposal of personal health and consumer credit information, respectively, the 50P-16R with its new lid safeguards sensitive materials from casual theft during storage, collection and over the road transport. When the cart is filled, the hinged lid unlocks and folds up in the middle for easy access, dumping or transfer.

Converted from vacuum formed ABS plastic, the new lid is rotationally molded in a single piece of polyethylene to upgrade structural strength, durability and longevity while permitting trucks filled with up to 400 lbs. of material to be stacked for efficient over the road transport. While the cart itself is rotationally molded in a single piece of polyethylene and available in 16 standard colors, the lid had been restricted to white. The new polyethylene lid is available in the same 16 standard colors to permit the lid and cart to color coordinate.

The new lid includes a molded-in recess that permits easy cutting for a paper drop slot and is available with an internal divider (optional) that diverts the papers for even filling without clogging the entry slot. The internal divider also helps block unauthorized access to the waste material through the lid when closed.
