Saddle Brook, NJ: The Poly-Trux(R) 50P-16 recycling cart from material handling product manufacturer Meese Orbitron Dunne Co., Saddle Brook, New Jersey, features a clever design that enables recycling companies to maximize space efficiency during over the road transportation while minimizing the number of trips required for collection and delivery. Developed based on the interior width of standard trailers, the novel 50P-16 measures a precise 28-1/2"wide to permit the carts to be loaded three across. The 28-1/2"width also enables the cart to be rolled straight onto and straight off of the trailers without being turned around, an upgrade from the outdated, 32"wide canvas postal carts that demanded unwieldy turns and rotations to unload.
Safely accommodating payloads of up to 400 lbs. in 21 cubic feet of capacity, the sizeable 50P-16 may be densely packed in a 53-foot long tractor-trailer in 11 rows of three carts for a substantial payload approaching 17,000 lbs. per trip. The sturdy 50P-16 is rotationally molded of weatherproof polyethylene in a single unit for the structural strength and durability required to withstand the constant handling and jarring of over the road transport. For easy movement and smooth rolling, the 50P-16 stands on a heavy-duty base combining 5/8"painted marine plywood with six industrial strength swiveling casters. A range of options including locks, colors and paper feed dividers for grade separation is offered.
