March 10, 2003 - Screw-Driven Vertical Reciprocating Conveyor, with self-locking drive design, eliminates risk of carriage free falling due to power outages, drive and/or hydraulic failure. Unit includes mushroom-style emergency stop buttons, over/under travel limit switches, gates and enclosures with interlocks, and handrails with safety chains. LED circuit board streamlines controls. Carriage sizes range from 3 x 3 to 6 x 6 ft with capacities from 1,000–6,000 lb.

Exclusive Self-Locking Design Eliminates Carriage Free Fall

DAYTON, Ohio (February 10, 2003) - Joyce/Dayton Corp. today unveiled the Screw -Driven Vertical Reciprocating Conveyor at the 2003 ProMat Show in Chicago. The exclusive self-locking
drive design eliminates the risk of the carriage free falling due to power outages, drive and/or hydraulic failure.

Joyce's Screw-Driven VRCs require no drop testing due to a self-locking screw-drive design. The VRCs also offer mushroom style emergency stop buttons, over/under travel limit swil:ches, gates
and enclosures with interlocks, and handrails with safety chains.

The LED circuit board on the Screw-Driven VRC streamlines the controls and offers wiring and testing versatility simplifying control system trouble shooting for two-level applications. With a carriage sizes ranging from 3' x 3' to 6' x 6' and weight capacities ranging from 1,000 to 6,000 pounds, the Joyce/Dayton Screw-Driven VRC is ideal for many applications.

All Joyce MATERIALIFT® VRCs meet the ANSI/ASME B20.1-2000 safety standards for conveyors and carry a one-year component warranty with additional warranties as needed. The Screw-Driven VRC has UL listed components and comes with a two-level control package standard. Multiple level stops with full call send capabilities are also available.
