Streamlight® Launches E-SPOT(TM)Litebox® and E-SPOT(TM) Firebox® Lanterns

EAGLEVILLE, PA - Streamlight®, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-performance flashlights, today introduced the E-SPOT(TM) LiteBox® and E-SPOT(TM) FireBox® lanterns. The rechargeable, portable lanterns feature three C4® LEDs to produce a large, ultra-bright spot pattern. Both lanterns are brighter and run longer than previous LiteBox and FireBox models, delivering 540 lumens on high and 15 hours of runtime on the low setting.

"These lanterns utilize power LED technology and Streamlight's proprietary reflector technology to provide a super-bright spotlight for low-light situations," said Streamlight President Ray Sharrah. "Because of their exceptional brightness, these lanterns are ideal for applications when a strong, focused beam is needed, such as by first responders at a fire or accident scene, pest control technicians for searching a client's basement, industrial or auto professionals when making repairs under low-light conditions, or by outdoor enthusiasts for tracking or searching purposes."

The E-Spot models each use three C4 LEDs and deep dish wide pattern parabolic reflectors to produce a large spot pattern. Both feature jumper-selectable high and low settings to allow selection of more light output or runtime.

On the high setting, the E-Spot models provide 55,000 candela peak beam intensity and 540 lumens measured system output over a distance of 469 meters. On the low setting, they provide 32,000 candela peak beam intensity and 330 lumens measured system output. Runtime is up to 7 hours on the high setting and up to 15 hours on the low setting, over a distance of 358 meters.

The C4 LEDs are impervious to shock with a 50,000-hour lifespan. All models use a zero-maintenance, 6V, 12Ah-sealed lead acid battery, which is rechargeable up to 500 times. Red and green LEDs provide battery charge status.

The E-Spot LiteBox is available in Standard and Vehicle Mount systems, which both feature a push-button switch and shoulder carrying strap, and are available in international safety orange or high-visibility yellow. The Standard system features AC and DC charge cords and a charge rack, and the Vehicle Mount system features a vehicle-mountable hard-wire charge rack. The E-Spot LiteBox also comes in a Power Failure model, which features a push-button switch and "smart power" failure circuitry that automatically goes on when the power goes off. It is available in international safety orange or beige, and includes AC and DC charge cords and a charge rack.

The E-Spot FireBox is available in Standard and Vehicle Mount versions. Both versions feature a toggle switch and two user-programmable, ultra-bright blue rear LEDs so that users can be seen no matter which direction the light is shining. Both the Standard and Vehicle Mount units are available in international safety orange or high-visibility yellow, and include a shoulder strap. The Standard System features AC and DC charge cords and a charge rack, and the Vehicle Mount System features a vehicle-mountable hard-wire charge rack.

All models measure 11.5 inches in length and weigh 7.9 pounds. Each unit features a high-impact, ABS thermoplastic housing with a rubberized impact bumper and lens ring, as well as a cushioned-grip handle for easy use with gloves. All E-Spot models fit existing Streamlight LiteBox chargers.

The E-Spot LiteBox and FireBox lanterns have been tested to the ANSI/NEMA FL-1 standard for flashlights, and feature an IPX4 design for water resistant operation.

The E-Spot LiteBox Standard System retails for $280, while the suggested retail price for the E-Spot FireBox Standard System is $297.

All models come with Streamlight's Limited Lifetime Warranty.
