Cooper Lighting Introduces Neo-Ray VERSYS Series

Recessed fluorescent T5 luminaire's design integrates vital building systems

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga., June 3, 2009 - Cooper Lighting, a division of Cooper Industries, Ltd., has introduced the Neo-Ray VERSEYS Series 1B, a revolutionary lighting system concept that seamlessly integrates vital building systems and high-efficiency lighting into one simple element. Combining innovation, aesthetics and outstanding performance, the fixture's unique modular design features a single lamp floating lensed microlouver on 1" centers with separate end utility compartments to house occupancy sensors, daylight sensors, air returns, sprinklers, speakers or an available MR16 downlight for added versatility.

The Neo-Ray VERSYS' high efficiency (80%) floating lensed microlouver combines a semi-specular aluminum louver with .5" high cross blades and side reflectors, and a clear, high-transmission ribbed lens/overlay, resulting in maximum light output with superior glare control meeting RP-1-04 VDT criteria. The stylish microlouver features injection-molded end caps and extruded frosted acrylic outer rails for an elegant appearance. The floating microlouver accepts a T5 (14W, 21W or 28W) or T5HO (24W, 39W or 54W) lamp.

Available with or without the utility compartments, VERSYS can be installed individually or in continuous rows/runs. The fixture is offered in various housing lengths including 30", 36", 48", 60" and 96" and is compatible with the Armstrong TechZone(TM) ceilings and other 6" on-center ceiling grid systems.
